I’m Brendon Henderson, part-time YouTuber and full time theatre geek. It wasn't long ago that I found myself sitting in my college history class talking about Death of a Salesman for the thirteen-hundredth time. I knew that even though the classics were important, there were so many other shows that seem to be swept under the rug.
Fast forward past countless 3am coffee breaks and too many broken pencils to find Wait in the Wings, a series of musical theatre deep dives highlighting, celebrating, and preserving the history of Broadway shows that aren't typically talked about.
This is roughly how much it costs us to make one episode of WitW. Here's a breakdown of where that's going!
We dedicate a HUGE amount of time to making sure our videos are factually correct. This means we need access to credible news source's like the New York Times and Washington Post, while also getting books on the subjects we cover.
We make periodic trips to New York City to conduct interviews, hunt for valuable research assets, and film B-roll for any footage we can't find online. The travel fund is spent on train tickets to and from Philadelphia.
Even though we WISH we could just focus on videos, we sadly have to juggle the humdrum tasks of business bookkeeping, marketing, and paying bills. This helps us have access to internet, Quickbooks, and MailChimp for our newsletter!
All of us work day jobs during the day and then come home and work on the thing we're really passionate about until about 2am. Though it's not much, this helps us pay ourselves just enough to justify not having to get a second job to survive.

We hate to sound like Wikipedia, but if each of our subscribers donated just $1 we could quit our jobs and do this full time without having to push a VPN or a website designer. Your contribution really means the world to us!
